Are you looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to make a positive  change to the lives of people in your local community? Are you passionate about inequality and tackling poverty? 

Weston-super-Mare Foodbank is seeking to appoint one or two additional trustees to support its work of addressing emergency food needs in the local community. Regrettably, referrals to the Foodbank have increased substantially over recent years and the growth in scale of operations means we are seeking new trustees committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives.

Applications are welcome from individuals with various skills and experience such as fundraising, communications, marketing or public relations. 

Weston Foodbank is an inclusive organisation. Inclusion, diversity and representation within the workforce are crucial and so we welcome all individuals regardless of race, age, religion, identity and experience. We are particularly interested in applications from individuals with lived experience of financial and food poverty. 

Time commitment:

Board meetings are held quarterly and last no longer than 90 minutes. These may be supplemented by additional meetings if circumstances require. Trustees are also expected to visit the Foodbank and warehouse from time to time to keep a finger on the pulse.

New trustees will be mentored and supported to familiarize themselves with procedures.
